Off the top of my head, here are some people on tumblr that always remind me that I kinda suck.

Tnperkins, prolific character design demigod

milonogiannis, his stuff reminds of iconic Japanese stuff and iconic French stuff at the same time. I like it. I like it a lot.

repoghost’s stuff is pretty fun, a really great middle ground between detailed and cartoony.

louisroskosch, I love his textures, and the way he draws clothes, and the proportions, and the color palette. If I were going to flat out steal somebody’s style it would probably be his, haha.

kristine thune is a pretty talented versatile lady, I think she’s like me in that instead of having one distinct style, she likes to let the content dictate the style and play around a bit.

tickled fancy, I can stare at this gif forever. Animation skills. I went to school for animation so I always really appreciate some well done animation, this looks simple, but the timing is perfect, the perspective is perfect, the character looks solid, the proportions don’t get wonky, and it just looks smooth. Also it’s cute and funny.

jen mundy, this lady’s colors and linework are banana sandwich, look at this beautiful shit

Sam Bosna, this dude is 2 legit 2 quit! His style reminds a bit of one my all-time favorite artists Mike Mignola, but where Mignola’s work is generally more graphic, using flat colors and few lines, Bosna’s is more detailed, textured, and he’s so great at color, lighting and atmosphere.

daniel krall, why you gotta be me makin me feel bad about myself with your art, dude? Look at those patterns and textures? These dudes look stylish as f*expletive deleted*.

Corey Lewis, man, I’ve loved his work for so long. A lot of people do manga-influenced stuff, but their styles are kinda samey, but I think Rey’s stuff really stands out and is unique. His anatomy, his colors, his stuff is fresh.

Those are just a few people that I plan to steal bits and pieces from to develop something awesome of my own. There are a lot of other awesome people I follow that I didn’t mention just because hey I don’t want to make the longest post in tumblr history.

I also want to mention my friends Jorge and Iza, whom I went to school with and I feel like I’m always trying to catch up to being as consistently good as they are.
