I was on the bus, and I saw this guy get out of his seat and say something to this girl, but he got really close to her face to say it, and she instantly jerked her head back and was like “Get outta my face!”

I couldn’t really hear what he was saying to her over the hum of the bus, but he sits down behind her and starts talking to her. She looked like she was mostly just trying to ignore him, but I heard her say again “I told you you need to get outta my face, I’m not playin.” He kept talking though, but she just had this look on her face that I can only describe as like… that face you make when you decide to quietly put up with someone’s bullshit and not make a scene.

She gets up because her stop is coming and he takes out his phone and tries to see if he can get a phone number out of her. She ignores him, the doors open, she gets off. The end of that annoying ordeal for her.

But it really made me wonder about guys like that. Guys who are incapable of not only taking a hint, but incapable of taking a flat out direct message. Did this guy think he could somehow turn it around? Even when she’s getting off the bus and has made no other effort to engage him other than to demand not to be bothered, he thinks “This is my chance to get her number.” That blew my mind. Did he think suddenly at the last minute her demeanor would suddenly change and she’d go “Ohhhh alllllright.” and give him the digits? That had to be what he at least half-expected for him to even try to pull that move. I mean… would I be wrong in thinking that guy is clearly a sociopath. He exhibited a pathological inability to take no for an answer. It was kinda disturbing and scary to watch.

Yeah, some dudes… they’re not cool.
