So during one of my morning conversations with the 8yr old brother while taking him to school we somehow got on the topic of what if humans had to leave the earth and find a new planet, which led to wondering what would happen with all the animals, and I came up with this story about the humans making a separate ship with just the animals programmed to follow the human ship, but along the way it goes through a cosmic storm that disables the navigation and also makes all the animals smart for some reason. A female corgi dog assumes command of the ship, and their mission is to find the humans, so they explore the vastness of space encountering other lifeforms and having adventures. There’s a misanthropic cat (who I obviously drew to look like that grumpy cat that is forever on my dashboard) who doesn’t care if they find the humans, and there’s an old space veteran chimp who pilots the ship. It’s kinda like Star Trek, but with animals. Just another idea to add to my list of ideas I’ll get around to working on some day.
Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, let the bidding war begin.
