Headless productions

I love the look of this. Great animation and great style.

This was an animation I was working on years ago, but I never got around to finishing because my computer had crashed and erased everything. EVERYTHING! *cries* I haven’t animated anything since, I’ve gotten caught up with doing designs for t-shirts and such, which I like doing, but I plan to get back to animation in the very near future. I didn’t spend thousands of dollars and gain mountains of debt learning animation for NOTHING!

Music clip is by me too, I didn’t know how to get it to not sound distorted when I exported the movie clip.

This is pretty gorgeously rendered. I wish they would make feature films in the style.

Genndy’s Clone Wars, to me, is the best Star Wars thing ever. Yes I love it even more than the original Star Wars trilogy. My opinion is obviously influenced by me being an animation geek, but I also think Genndy Tartakovsky is a better director than George Lucas. I’m a big fan of great dialog, but I’ve always thought it’s a mark of a great director when you can tell a lot of your story without words. “Show not tell” as they say. Plus I think the Clone Wars is the only thing to FULLY capture how badass jedis really are, as evidenced by this clip of Mace Windu whoopin robot ass like it’s goin out of style. This scene to me is way more badass than anything that’s happened in any Star Wars movie. I wish they’d just continued with this series instead of doing the CGI one that’s one now.

If I ruled the world, Genndy would be doing a Han Solo & Chewbacca cartoon right now.

So, like I said, I’ve been working on animation lately. Just practicing really, which I haven’t done in an embarrassingly long while.

I literally just opened up Flash, only knowing that I was going to use Maurice, and just made something up as I went along. So, there’s no point to this animation at all, haha, other than just to animation something.

If you’ve never animated before, you may not know that it often requires that you act out what you’re trying to draw to get the motions down. So, needless to say, I had to do several pelvic thrusts in the process of making this. There’s nothing like standing in front of a mirror thrusting your crotch at yourself over and over in slow motion to make you feel like a complete idiot.

Anyway, this was fun to do, going to do a lot more, working up to doing some stuff with actual sound and stories and backgrounds and multiple characters and dialog and all that good stuff. I’m excited.
