I’m not really a fandom person… I barely feel like I even understand that word, but I follow the alternative comedy scene pretty closely. Comedy podcasts pretty much dominate the space on my ipod. I get excited every Monday to listen to the new Comedy Bang Bang, I get excited every Tuesday for the new How Did This Get Made, I get excited every Thursday to hear the new Improv4Humans, etc etc. I love a lot of comedians and will follow everything they do, Chelsea Peretti, Kumail Nanjiani, Harris Wittels, Paul Rust, Nick Kroll, Doug Benson, Jason Mantzoukas, Andy Daly, etc. I can name comedians all day. When I have the chance I like to go out and watch improv or stand-up. So yeah, I like comedy a lot.
Paul F Tompkins though, he such a favorite that I started a new paragraph to talk about how much of a favorite he is just now. It’s really rewarding to be a fan of Paul F Tompkins because he is so prolific that it seems you rarely have to go a day without him being hilarious in some form or another somewhere somehow. He’s such a talented versatile guy, I’m inspired by him, I definitely observe him and take notes and try to apply what I learn from him to what I do.
Jon Glaser is another guy I love, he’s one of the funniest people on the planet in my opinion. He was always one of my favorites on Conan, and it’s really cool to see him have his own show now. He also did this thing with Jon Benjamin (who is also a favorite person of mine) called Fuggedabuddies, which I’ve been watching like roughly once a month for a few years because it always makes me laugh. Youtube it.
Jack Handey, the man behind SNL’s “Deep Thoughts” back in the day, is one of my comedy heroes, and a person I feel I owe a lot of my sense of humor to. I definitely did “freak out” when he released his latest book “What I’d Say to Martians (and other veiled threats)”.
So yeah, comedy. Comedy makes me freak out.

I GOT ONE! Comedy Bang Bang’s LAST stand up show sold out pretty much instantaneously! I know because my friend and I went on the website at the same time right at 12pm when they went on sale and while I managed to get one she got denied. Bummer for her. YAY FOR ME! I literally set my alarm for 12pm and already had the page open ready to go because I knew they would go quick, apparently a lot of other people had the same idea.
I’ve actually never been to this show, so it will be my first and last time.

Long-time followers of this blog know how much I love little Fourvel (one less than Fievel) and the Time Bobby episode of the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast. Proof!
A poll is happening right now where you can vote for your favorite CBB episodes of the year. You guys, I’m not trying to sway voters per se, but if “Time Bobby” HAPPENS to be voted the best of the year, I JUST MAY be moved to do another Time Bobby animation to celebrate. I’d take your suggestions, even!
Also probably my favorite Comedy Bang Bang episode ever. In my top 3 at least. Fourvel needs to become a recurring character!

Suddenly a lot of new notes, I like when a post gets a 2nd life. I can’t wait for Farts & Procreation 3, I’m going to have to do something again for that one.
